Quality History

In its continuous strive for excellence, Group Industries embarked on the Good Manufacturing Practice Certificate program in mid-1993 and was successfully awarded the SISIR GMP Certificate in February, 1994. In September, 1994, Group Industries received the ISO 9000 Certification, thereby attaining international recognition for its quality piles. In May 1995, the company was upgraded to the ISO 9002:1994 status and in July 1998, the company was the first pre-cast concrete foundation piles manufacturer in Singapore to be the Singapore Quality Class status.

The implementation of the ISO 9002:1994 program has resulted in:

• a better trained workforce with increased awareness of product quality, leading to higher productivity;
• increased production output due to reduction in rejection and non-conformity;
• more cost-effective production and improved product quality;
• establishing Group Industries as a reputable market leader in foundation piles.
