General Specifications
  • All pile design specifications generally adhere to SS CP4:2003 and SS EN 1992:2008.
  • All concrete specifications conform to SS EN 206:2014, SS 544:Part 1&2:2014 and SAC CT 06:2015.
  • All GI piles are designed to resist handling and driving stresses and to support the required loading after installation.
  • The minimum characteristic cube strength of concrete at 7 days is 55 MPa. (EN Designated Concrete Grade C45/55)
  • Course and fine aggregates conform to SS EN 12620:2008.
  • The cement used is Ordinary Portland Cement (CEM I). Other cement such as PBFC (CEM III) are also available upon request.
  • Admixtures conform to relevant parts of SS EN 934-2:2015.
  • Mixing water conform to EN 1008:2002.
  • Longitudinal main reinforcement consists of 4 nos. high tensile deformed bars to BS 4449:2005 Grade B500B and SS 560:2015 Grade B500B.
  • Lateral reinforcement is in helical form of prime low carbon steel wire rods in coil to SAE 1008.

  • Other lengths and configurations available upon request.
  • All piles are cast with brand new end plates that consist of anchor bars, collar band, centering pin and tube hole. They are designed to resist the driving stress during installation and to transfer the working load to the pile.
  • Splicing between two piles are generally undertaken by installers at site by butt-welding all round of the end plates with appropriate welding electrodes.
  • All quality control testing comply to SS/BS/MS/EN/ISO standards.
